5/28: Heat Sheet and important info before tomorrow's meet
5/29 Home Swim Meet "Heat Sheet" is attached
+Please do NOT ask for changes. The 5/29 Heat Sheet is final. If you have suggestions or changes you'd like to see for future meets, make sure to write those very specifically in the NOTES section when you RSVP for each meet. Remember, if you're excited about your kiddos' events, they will be too. (Monkey see, monkey do.)
+Go ahead and mark your child's inner arm with a permanent Sharpie before arriving. If you don't know how (new families) we will have parents ready to show you when you arrive at the meet. Just a reminder: It's Event, Lane, Heat.
There is practice tomorrow morning/day of the meet.
+Personal Sidebar: Use your parenting gut when you make the decision whether your child should attend morning practice. If you have a little nugget who gets tired easily... you may want to keep them home and fresh for the meet. Just use your best judgement. We want them to have FUN at the meet!
What if it's raining? Do we still come?
+EVERYONE needs to come to the meet no later than 4:30pm for warm-ups, NO MATTER WHAT. Even though your coaches and coordinators are very chill -- meet officials are not. Meets are never called for rain. Nor are they called for thunder -- they are postponed. We will do our best to keep everyone "in the loop" so please stay tuned tomorrow for weather-related communications.
I'm volunteering but have NO idea what it involves
+Find Missy Pate at 5pm tomorrow for Volunteer Check-in and Job Description. If you are 2nd Shift -- find Missy Pate at Event 33 during the meet for the same tutorial.
Bullpen -- is no joke ya'll
+Karaoke, Giant Jenga, Cornhole, Volleyball... with all this fun stuff in the Bullpen area, there is NO reason your kid should be anywhere but the Bullpen. Please reinforce this new rule with your kiddos before you arrive tomorrow. They of course can leave the area: To get food, cheer on their pals or use the restrooms. But they should NOT sit with their parents to eat, play on the playground or leave the pool area. We will not hunt down your kiddos for their events. We're all about teaching personal responsibility and character this season. Go Sun Devils!!!!
My kids are soooo excited for tomorrow, and I hope yours are too. Remember... tomorrow will be Redfield's "Taco Tuesday" at the Concessions Stand, so bring lots of cash. All proceeds fuel our Swim/Dive Program, so buy buy buy. There will be an assortment of Spirit Wear available for purchase as well.
Feel free to text us with any questions.
