5/30: RSVP NOW for our 6/5 Home Swim Meet vs. Brittnay Club
PLEASE READ
First off, Missy and I wanted to THANK all the volunteers last night for making our first swim meet a huge success. We had parents, empty-nesters and young adults from Redfield working hard -- and it was an amazing show of teamwork and community spirit. This was our first meet as Swim Coordinators, so thanks again for your patience with us "noobs" -- we did our best to create a positive environment for all.
IT'S ALREADY TIME TO RSVP FOR OUR UPCOMING HOME SWIM MEET ON JUNE 5. Please visit our team site Redfield.swimtopia.com to "officially" RSVP for your swimmer and to sign up to volunteer (1 per family, unless you are Pay-to-Play.) We need the headcount from our Swimtopia web site. If you need help RSVPing, do not hesitate to text or call me at 469-586-9660. Please RSVP by this Friday.
Again, please use the "notes" section when RSVPing your swimmer to let the coaches know your child's stroke/event preferences. They will do their best to accommodate, but there is no guarantee.
My son Lex did the 11/12 Boy IM last night. When he found out the night before, he was terrified, frazzled... and honestly pissed. But as parents, Christian and I pumped him up, gave him the confidence he needed and told him to see it as a challenge. He completed all four strokes. He did it. He almost barfed, but he did it. Now today, he's walking around the house like a BOSS. There's two ways to look at difficult events in life: A road block or a challenge. I highly suggest that ya'll use it as a tool to make your kiddos feel like BOSSES too:) It's pretty darn cool in the end.
Go Sun Devils!
Cara & Missy
