Dear Sun Devil parents,

In May, ASA asked us our preferred session and we replied same day. We received an email last night stating that we will NOT know our exact session until Monday; however, our entries are due by Sunday. Our guess is… Tech and ASA are simply trying to get the entries BEFORE final session assignments to get accurate #s and follow strict covid capacity regulations to keep our kids safe.

The takeaway of this is: IF YOU WANT TO TAKE PART IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP MEET THIS YEAR, YOU NEED TO KNOW THAT WE MAY SWIM IN 1 OF 4 SESSIONS (Morning or Afternoon Wed, 6/23 or Morning or Afternoon, Thurs 6/24)

Being that said, you have two options if you are interested in swimming:

1: If you are flexible with 6/23 or 6/24 – morning or afternoon doesn’t matter – then simply RSVP, list TWO individual events (max) and IF your swimmer would like to swim in a relay and IF they would be willing to swim up to create one (if we don’t have enough swimmers in their own age group) and pay the $40 entry fee.

OR

2. If you REALLLLLY want to swim at Tech but can’t swim mornings (or afternoons) – or one of the days doesn’t work – you can still RSVP YES and pay the fee (take the gamble) BUT YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK IF ASA GIVES US A DIFFERENT SESSION THAN WE REQUESTED (6/23 afternoon).

*If you have already paid to attend on 6/23 at 3pm – and cannot make any other session – and do NOT want to risk losing $40 if ASA gives us a different session, I will happily refund you. Our sincere apologies for this hurdle.
